Irene Mae Joyner, 99 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Union Hospital. She was born in Hymera, IN on April 2, 1915 to Alph Cole and Catherine Hoban Cole. Irene retired from FW Means Laundry and was a Precinct Committeeman for the Democratic Party for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Alan Joyner in 1974, as well as two brothers, Patrick & Garnet Cole, and four sisters, Wanita Rogers, Helen Crabtree, Mary Katherine Griffith and Betty Jean Cole. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Joyner and many, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Jim Quick officiating. Burial will follow in Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 12 Noon -1:00 PM on Thursday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
