Joan Rae Marshall, 69, of Terre Haute passed away December 4, 2014 in her residence. She was born July 6, 1944 in Terre Haute to Raymond and Alice Goodman Bricker. Joan was a housekeeper as well as formerly being a CNA for Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene Texas. She was a member of the Hymera Community Church and was an avid sewer and loved listening to country music. She was very active with her fellow residents of Garfield Gardens and will be missed dearly by all of them who touched her life. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Kenneth Bricker, and one sister; Margaret Hollingsworth. She is survived by three sons; Daniel Batchelor and his wife Cathy, Raymond Elmore and his wife Marla, and Randall Young and his wife Anita, two daughters; Marvella Sterlin and her husband John, and Alicia Elmore, two brothers; David Bricker, and Clarence Bricker and his wife Georgianna, one sister; Jeanette Tidd and her husband Jim. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, her beloved dog, Lady, and several other friends, family, and loved ones. Funeral services for Joan will be held Thursday January 9, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804 with Pastor David Swalls officiating.
