Lois M. Reichert

Reichert, LoisLois M. Reichert, 86, of Terre Haute, passed away on January 3, 2014 at 1:38 p.m.  She was born on November 23, 1927 to Warnie Whitlock and Zora (Rice) Whitlock. Lois was a member of Maple Avenue Methodist Church in Terre Haute.  Before her move into town, she attended Youngstown United Methodist Church.  The family would like to thank Signature Health Care for making Lois a part of their extended family.  Throughout her five years of living there, she was able to make many friendships with the staff and others who visited the facility.   Her nickname was “Momma”.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years Jack Reichert, who passed away January 14, 2000; sons Michael and David Reichert; daughter Jane Roettger; brothers Paul Whitlock, his wife Mae, Norman Whitlock, his wife Kati; and Carl Whitlock; brother-in-law Ray Roettger.  She is survived by her daughters Betty Jo Reichert, Judy Mace, and her husband John; grandsons Jeffery Mace and Jerrod Roettger; 2 great grandchildren; sisters Frances Roettger, Norma Apple, and her husband Charles; sister-in-law Mary Whitlock; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday January 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00a.m. until service time.  Rev. David Rockhill will be officiating.  A private burial will be scheduled for a later date at Hull Cemetery.
