Edith Ann Jenkins, 68, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday March 25, 2016 in Union Hospital. Edith was born December 21, 1947 in Terre Haute to Charles Ellinger and Betty L. Hooker Ellinger. Edith was a QNA at the Former Wallace Nursing home which became Westridge. She was also a Union Steward for the R.W.D.S.U. Edith was an avid BINGO player, loved Elvis and was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge. Edith was preceded in death by her father and two brothers; Mark Ellinger and Charles “Pune” Ellinger. She is survived by her husband, Richard Jenkins Sr., whom she married November 4, 1967, her mother Betty Ellinger of Terre Haute, two sons; Richard Jenkins Jr. of Terre Haute and Kenneth Jenkins and his girlfriend Lori also of Terre Haute. Two daughters; Samantha Auterson and her husband Gary and Melissa Jenkins and Anthony all of Terre Haute. Seven Sisters survive; Sharon Ellinger, Linda Southard, Rebecca McCurry, Ella Lowe, Penny Bauer, Alberta Budd and Blanche Rasor. Seven Grandchildren survive; Richard Jenkins III, Monica Auterson, Tiffany Auterson, Kenna Jenkins, Trisha Crowthers, Julian Stout and Alex Stout. Two great grandchildren; Richard Jenkins IV and Jasper Kelley and several nieces and nephews. Services are Wednesday March 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN. 47804. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday all at the Funeral Home. Rev. Dustin Spitler will be officiating .
