Thoughs were our vows and I did my part I will always Love You no matter where you go Our Love for each others will never grow old So rest my Dear One and don’t worry none Someday I will be by your side again and the Lord will say a job well done Love You Always Dear One Your Wife Ethel Orville Rex Norton Sr. was born on May 12, 1926 to George and Flossie Norton of Terre Haute, Indiana. Orville separated his life at the age of 89 years to be with the Lord. Most of Orville’s life was spent in Terre Haute, Indiana until he went into the Merchant Marines, and then spent the rest of his life in Cleveland, Ohio. Orville attended the #8 School in Burnett, and also Otter Creek School. Orville accepted the Lord at a young age. Orville later moved to Cleveland, Ohio and attended St. Timothy Baptist Church and joined the male choir where he enjoyed singing for the Lord in different churches. On May 15, 1967 Orville was united in marriage to Ethel Mae Tyler Norton for 48 years. Daughter of Raymond and Rachel Tyler. Orville and Ethel lived in Cleveland, Ohio for 8 years, and then in 1975 decided to move back home in his parents’ home. Orville was employed as a Real Estate Salesman, Bemis, and retired from JI Case as a Welder. Orville’s hobbies were working in his flower garden, up keeping his lawn, rabbit and coon hunting, he loved his dogs and listening to them run the rabbit. He also enjoyed fishing with his wife and sons. Orville leaves to morn his wife Ethel Norton; five sons Allen Norton Sr. of Cleveland, Ohio, Orville Norton Jr. and Ginger, Johnny Norton Sr. and Lisa, Randy Norton Sr. and Cheryl, Tyler Norton Sr. and Maggie all of Terre Haute, Indiana; nine grandchildren Allen Norton Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, Johnny Norton Jr., Keaira Norton, Aleshia Norton, Danielle Norton, Olivia Norton, Randy Norton Jr., Dustin Norton, Tyler Norton Jr. (T.J.) all of Terre Haute, Indiana; three great grandchildren Allen Norton III of Cleveland, Ohio, Kamia, Jayden, and Corbin, all of Terre Haute, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his grandson Orville Rex Norton III in 1999. He is also survived by three sisters MaDonna Austin, Hazel Montfort and Dan of Cleveland, Ohio, Cynthia Norton Perry of Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Brent Phillips for his support and the care he gave Orville. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday January 27, 2016 at 12:00p.m. in Lost Creek Baptist Church, 4440 North Creal Road, Terre Haute, Indiana. Pastor Donald Morris will be officiating. Burial will be in Stewart Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10:00a.m. until service time. The family has entrusted Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, with care and arrangements.
