It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, father, husband and brother, Jack Richard Fox who left this earthly home on January 21, 2016. He was born on June 19, 1970 in Terre Haute, Indiana to James W. Fox and Jacquelyn Kiefner Fox. Jack graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1988 where he enjoyed playing on both the football and baseball teams. He graduated from Indiana State University in 1993 with a degree in Sociology. He joined Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity in 1988. He continued his education at Indiana Wesleyan University where he received his MBA in 1995. While at ISU he began a career working at Terre Haute Regional Hospital as a Nursing Assistant and then became Assistant Administrator. After several years in the hospital setting, Jack made a career change and began working at Maryland Community Church where he was Associate Pastor. He had a special ministry, ArtReach, where he used his artistic talent to share about Christ. After leaving the ministry, Jack worked at the ISU Foundation Office and was currently working at Amerestore as Branch Manager. Along with his parents, James and Jackie Fox he is survived by his wife of 19 years Lori Ewing Fox and their two beautiful daughters and the loves of his life, Caroline Elisabeth and Chloe Jayne. They were his pride and joy and they loved to do silly stuff together. Also surviving are his sisters Jill Mason and her husband Gary of Ballwin, MO., Jo Knoblett and her fiancé Lance Nolan of Noblesville, IN., and Jennie Hessig and her husband Tony of Salem, IN. His nieces and nephews were so special to him. They include Douglas (DJ) Collier, Adam Vandenbrink, Andy Shaffer, Brandon and Tyler Knoblett, Megan and Mallory Mason, Abby, Matthew and Noah Ewing, and a great niece, Kendree Shaffer. Also surviving are his father and mother in law, Tom and Carole Ewing, brother and sister in law, Greg and Kelly Ewing and grandmother in law, Betty Gummere, and a special aunt, Betty McIntosh and other aunts and uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death were maternal grandparents, Richard and Helen Kiefner and paternal grandmother Jessie Fox. Jack had so many friends from childhood, school years, Lambda Chi Alpha, Maryland Church and his jobs that were so special to him. We will have a celebration of Jack’s life on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Maryland Community Church, 4700 S. State Rd. 46, Terre Haute. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 26, 2016, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and from Noon until service time on Wednesday the church. Pastor Scot Longyear will be officiating. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute IN., 47804 was entrusted with services.
