Odie Potee

Odie W. Potee, 54, of Terre Haute, passed away January 10, 2016 in Union Hospital. Odie was born in Marion, IN., on March 18, 1961 to Donald Cragun and Marcia Abney Potee Pickett. Odie was retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant after more than 20 years of service. While in the Air Force, Odie was a crew leader on a B-52 as well as a teacher. Odie attended Pikes Peak Community College while stationed in Colorado Springs and was presently in CPP Maintenance for Great Dane. Odie enjoyed staying involved with current events as well as spending time at home with his family. Odie was preceded in death by his father Don Cragun and his wife Peggy. Odie is survived by his wife, Darla Catterson Potee whom he married May 7, 2014. He is also survived one daughter, Christine Laucher and her husband Adam of Durham, NC, as well as his mother, Marcia Potee Pickett of Noblesville, IN., and mother in-law Judy Catterson of Terre Haute. Two step children; Paul Booker of Colorado Springs, CO., and Kari Booker of Terre Haute, one sister, Michelle Pederson and her husband Dean of Vernon Hills, IL., three brothers; Dr. Christopher Potee and his wife Jennifer of Noblesville, IN., Bruce Potee of Erlanger, KY., and Jarrod Potee and his wife Julie of Fort Mill, SC., a half sister, Aimee Jones of Muncie, IN., two grandchildren; Jackson Laucher and Charlie Laucher. An uncle, Bill Abney and his wife Lynn of Marion, IN., five step-grandchildren; Nevaeh Booker, Lonnie Van Horn Jr., Sebastian Booker, Zailon Van Horn and Christian Van Horn as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services are Sunday January 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804. A gathering of family and friends will be from noon to service time at the funeral home.
