John Coyt Brough, better known to his family and friends as “J.C.”, passed away on April 29, 2015 at the age of 29. J.C. was born on September 10, 1985 to Brian and Terri Brown Brough. He graduated from ISU in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He desired to help people and make a difference in their lives. His impact can be seen most in the lives of his loved ones. J.C. was a huge Bears fan. He was known for his quick wit and ability to be annoyingly funny, he could always cheer you up just by being himself. He loved to travel and just drive. His incredible intelligence showed in every conversation he had. Family was very important to him; he was an attentive son, amazing big brother, a devoted grandson, and an adoring and adored uncle. He is deeply loved and will be forever missed.
J.C. is survived by his loving parents Brian and Terri Brough, stepmother Debbie Brough, sisters Brianna Brough (Ryan Hubble), Alyssa Brough, Danielle Brough (Jake Hoalt), Gabrielle Brough, a brother Casey Thomas, grandparents Jim and Linda Brown, Leo Brough, and nephew Gavin Hubble, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Sandy Brough, paternal great grandparents Maxine and John Brough, and maternal great grandparents Nellie and Coyt Jones.
Funeral services will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:30 PM, with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to CODA or the Terre Haute Humane Society.
