Norma Jean Strain, 86, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday April 22, 2015 at 6:45pm in Meadows Manor East. She was a secretary for McLaren Trucking. Norma Jean was born February 21, 1929 in Terre Haute to Roxy Hunt and Eula (Randolph) Hunt. She is survived by a daughter, Rita Caton of Terre Haute; sons, Monty Strain and his wife Teri of Paragon, IN and Michael Strain and his wife Christine of Prairie Creek, IN; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and Norma Jean was 1 of 15 children with all of them preceding her in death except for her sister Freda Hayworth. She was also preceded in death by her husband Russell Lloyd Strain, who died July 25, 2008 and a son-in-law, Larry Caton. She was a member of the Quarter Horse Association. Visitation will be Sunday April 26, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with funeral services on Monday April 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery.
