During the years that her sons were growing up, she was active in their lives. She was active in Cub Scouts, Little League, Babe Ruth, and American Legion baseball. She traveled with the American Legion team that her son played on and became known as “Mom” to all of the boys. She was president of the Wiley Mothers Club and devoted herself to helping all boys who participated in sports she was involved with. She loved all sports and constantly watched baseball, golf, basketball, football, and was a big Nascar fan. She constantly rooted for Jeff Gordon and Kyle Petty. She enjoyed her life with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always loved to cook and was happiest when she was doing both at a family gathering. She was a member of Saint Patrick’s Church and a member of the Altar Society. At her request, there will be no services. If family or friends so desire, donations may be made on her behalf to the two charities she donated to herself: Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or the Victory Junction Gang of Kyle Petty’s.
