WILLIAM R. ‘BILL’ PRICE Oct. 12, 1966 – Aug. 28, 2014 William “Bill” Robert Price, 47, of Terre Haute, passed away August 28, 2014 at Union Hospital. He was born October 12, 1966, at Torrejon Air Force Base in Madrid, Spain, to Sharon Rose (Gray) and Ronald Rex Price. Being a child of a military father took Bill many places, but most of his childhood was spent in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. He did spend a few years in Terre Haute as a teenager and attended Terre Haute South Vigo High School. As an adult, he fell in love with the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he lived and worked as a waiter for many years. His favorite job was at the Market Cafe in the French Quarter. There, he enjoyed meeting people from all over the world; as well as many of the Quarter’s jazz musicians. He later moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, where he enjoyed seeing and learning the history of the ‘Old West ‘ and finally, 3 years ago, he returned to Terre Haute where he worked part time at Sodexo until his health deteriorated earlier this year. No matter where Bill lived, he was known for his wonderful ability to make people laugh, for his warm smile and gentle soul. Bill was preceded in death by his partner; Doug Rogers, his father; his paternal grandparents, Fred Robert and Hazel (Arnett) Price; his maternal grandmother, Louise A. Stewart; very special maternal grandparents, William and Minnie (Patrick) McCoskey; and a brother-in-law Bruce Hylman. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his stepfather, Chuck Turner, Terre Haute; one brother, Christopher Price and his wife Cindy of Jefferson, GA, two sisters; Kimberly Davis and her husband David of Goshen, IN, and Ellen Hylman of Terre Haute, an Uncle; David Price (Sharon) of Terre Haute, and an aunt; Jane Mathis (Wayne) of Augusta, KS, seven nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, several cousins, and his very special canine companion, Max. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 – 2:00. The Cremains will be interred in a private ceremony at at later date.
