Bogle, Jon

God opened his arms and unexpectedly welcomed his newest angel, Jon Michael Bogle, 56, to heaven to join previous family members that have passed, on June 21, 2014.  He was born on November 25, 1957 to Robert E. Bogle and Veva Lee (Clark) Bogle “Cathy”. Jon was a lifelong resident of Terre Haute and a member of the Catholic Church.  He enjoyed the quiet simple life of home, family, church, friends, and being with his dog Chelsea. He worked for DTZ, formerly Unico. Although absent in body, Jon’s spirit, sense of humor, kindness and gentle ways will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents; brother James “Jim” Bogle; and nephew Ira Price.  He is survived by his son Brennen Bogle (Veronica); daughters Brianne Bogle and Bridget Bogle-Ireland (Jason); sisters Vanta Black (Bill Rogers) and Michele Bogle-McGuiness; sister-in-law Dianne Bogle; grandchildren Toby Weaver, Brielynn Bogle, Jaxson Bogle, Aidan Ireland, and Jude Ireland; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and his faithful K-9 companion Chelsea.

Jon’s family wants to sincerely thank lifelong neighbors and friends, the Saylor family, for always being there and helping care for his dog and home during his hospital stay.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 12:05 p.m. in St. Benedict Catholic Church, 111 S 9th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47807. Father Ed Goldbach will be officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.  A celebration of life for Jon will be on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 4:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a rosary service at 6:30p.m., in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive.  The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Terre Haute Humane Society.
