Dallas Ray Stoelting, 76 of Terre Haute, passed away at 10:55 AM on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Union Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Westphalia, IN on September 18, 1937 to Eric Stoelting and Ruth Thomas Stoelting. Dallas was a retired meat cutter from Kroger, and was a member of the United Commercial Food Workers Union, as well as the Bicknell Elks Club Lodge # 1421. He is survived by his wife Susan Stoelting, whom he married October 27, 1962. Also surviving are two sons, Kent Stoelting (wife Julie) and Brent Stoelting (wife Julia), as well as his beloved grandchildren; Brenna Steele (husband Justin), Wyatt Stoelting, Dillon Stoelting, and Jackson Stoelting. In addition, he has one brother, Richard Stoelting and one sister, Marquitta Richardson and several nieces and nephews. Dallas loved to travel & enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Teresa Higus officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bethel Cemetery in Freelandville, IN. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, in his memory.
