Bernice Imogene Glaspie, 74 of Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 5:45 PM in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Terre Haute on February 8, 1940 to Emery Clifford Waggoner and Sarah Elizabeth Bedwell Waggoner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed Glaspie Sr., sister Margaret Yaw, and two brothers, Emery Waggoner and Jim Waggoner. Survivors include two sons, Ed Glaspie Jr. (wife Karen), and Albert Glaspie (wife Debbie), and three daughters; Elizabeth Gabbard (husband Randy), Diana Glaspie and Rhonda Glaspie- all of Terre Haute. Also surviving is her uncle Ray Bedwell, and two sisters, Betty Leclercq and Marilyn Overton, as well as two brothers, Bill Waggoner (wife Bev), and Ray Waggoner (wife Kim). Other survivors include 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Bernice worked at and owned South Side Cleaners, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and mushroom hunting. She was always very active and loved working in her house and yard, and was a good and loving mother, and loved spoiling her grandkids. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 12 Noon – 2:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
