Wilma Jean Gallion Tindall, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday January 31, 2014 in Signature Healthcare. She had worked at Meadows Manor East for 13 years, retiring in 1993. Wilma was born November 1, 1929 in Terre Haute to George Gallion and Helen I. (Powell) Gallion. She is survived by a daughter, Rita Miller and her husband Gordon of California; grandchildren, Kevin Coy, Eric Coy, Derek Miller and his wife Dianne, and Aaron Miller all of California, also James Michael Coy and Patrick Coy of Terre Haute; great grandchildren, Krystal Coy, Devin Coy, Liam Coy, Megan Miller, Madison Miller, and PFC Taylor Purves in the Marines in California; sisters, Mary Denny and Shirley Thornton of Terre Haute; nephews, George Thornton, Danny Thornton and his wife Renda, and Mike Thornton and his wife Lesia, and a niece Janet Thompson and her husband Jim. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Claude who died in 2011. Wilma attended 8th Avenue Baptist Church. She and her husband enjoyed going to the monthly Hulman and Company dinners, she enjoyed playing piano, knitting, and crocheting, and she was a cancer survivor. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 am in DeBaun Funeral Home, Wabash Avenue Chapel, 2425 Wabash Ave. with funeral services at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Dick Smith officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
