Raymond Leo Pound, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away on August 18, 2013 at 11:44 a.m. in Union Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1940 to Ralph Jabe Pound “R.J. “and Rosemary Virginia (Booth) Pound. Raymond graduated from Wiley High School and Indiana State University. He was employed at Quaker Maid and Pfizer. Raymond was a single parent who raised three children. He loved spending time with his family and going to yard sales. He will be sadly missed by his family.
Raymond is survived by his children Raelynn Pound, Brent Pound, his wife Melissa, and Anthony Pound; grandchildren Christopher Pound, Corey Pound, and Evan Ray Pound; and brother Richard Pound. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents Ralph and Olive Pound, who he was very close to after his father passed away when he was only 9 years old.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday August 21, 2013 at 1:00p.m. in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive. Pastor David Deal will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00a.m. until service time.
