La Donna Helen Tooloose, 68, of Lewis, IN, passed away in her residence at 8:15 AM on Thursday, August 15, 2013. She was born in Evansville, IN on December 21, 1944 to Wilbur Coy Jewell and Helen E. Seiler Jewell. She retired from Columbia Records with over 30 years of service. She is survived by her husband Dale R. Tooloose, and one son, Chad Tooloose and wife Christy. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren; Sierra Tooloose, Krystlin Tooloose, Davia Tooloose, Jordan Tooloose, Landon Tooloose, and Faith Tooloose, as well as 5 great grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister, Milisa Carty & husband Jody, In-laws Don and Ruth Ann Tooloose, sister-in-law Diane Tooloose – Wence, and 2 nephews, John Tooloose, and James Jewell. La Donna was preceded in death by her parents, by one son, Matthew Tooloose, a grandson, Mattix Tooloose, and 2 half-sisters; Wendy Jewell and Barbara Jane Jewell. She loved animals, was a free spirit and independent thinker. La Donna was a best friend, wife, mother grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt. Memorial services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 3:00 PM, with her son, Pastor Chad Tooloose officiating. Visitation is scheduled on Saturday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday in the funeral home.
