Kaleb Scott Borders, age 5, of Shelburn, passed away at 7:33 AM on Monday, August 12, 2013 in his residence. He was born in Terre Haute on October 30, 2007 to Thomas Borders and Ronni Standley. Kaleb attended Pre-School at Hymera Elementary. He is survived by his parents Thomas Borders and Ronni Standley, and a sister, Jasmin Borders. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents Ron & Patty Standley of Brazil, paternal grandparents Don & Kandra Borders of Jasonville, and Julia Lance-Presnell of Shelburn; Maternal great grandparents Gene & Becky Butts of Staunton and Paternal great grandmother Mary Farris of Brazil. Other survivors include Aunts & Uncles; Deena Burton of Sandcut, Karen Dean of Staunton, Phillip Ivy & wife Nikki of Hymera, Melinda Hill & husband Dave of Bedford, IN, Michelle Stanley of Shelburn , Brandy Wahl of Seelyville, Katie Jones of Jasonville, and Dawn Wahl of Riley, Sandy Clark of Brazil, & Erin Rutan of Alaska. In addition there are Great Aunts & Uncles; Max Standley & wife Terri of Brazil, Beth Broadstreet of Patricksburg, Beth Moore of North Carolina, Jonathan Lance of Indianapolis, Tom Lance of Brazil, Max Lance, Jr. , and Rick Walters, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by Great grandparents Max & Esther Lance, Max & Ethel Standley, Uncles DJ Borders, Joe Burton, Eric Wahl, and Aunt Beth Yates. Memorial services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 12 Noon, with Rev. Tom Hess officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 10:00 AM -12 Noon in the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions are made to the Make A Wish Foundation, in memory of Kaleb.
