Betty Lou (Jackson) Stubbs, 83, of Terre Haute passed away on April 21, 2013 at 2:32 p.m. She was born on May 17, 1929 to Levi Jackson and Elizabeth (Jeffers) Jackson. Betty was a member of Union Baptist Church. She also held membership in the Home Economics Club in Pierson Township, and sang in the Vigo County Choral Group. Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed entertaining for her family and friends. She enjoyed her grandchildren, especially attending their ball games.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Ora Dean Stubbs in 2009; her parents; and all of her siblings. She is survived by her sons Larry Stubbs, his wife Carol, and Rick Stubbs; daughter Linda Dalton, her husband Lee; grandchildren Jennifer Turpin, Leah Williams, her husband Andy, Leslie Altepeter, her husband JR, and Jamie Stubbs; great grandchildren Dalton, Addilyn, Brynlee, Keegan, Phoenyx, and Mattox; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday April 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Dr. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Lee and Rev. Rod Maris will be officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday April 24, 2013 from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
