Charlotte L. Boyce Ellis, 80, of Blackhawk, joined her loving husband Max & parents in heaven at 12:15 PM on
Thursday, March 21, 2013. She was born in Clay County on March 11, 1933 to Robert O. Boyce and Vivian Cromwell Boyce. She was preceded in death by her husband Max Ellis, whom she married December 29, 1950. She is survived by her two children, Monty Ellis & his wife Tina and Cynthia Foote & her husband Gary. Also surviving are her grandchildren Felicia Garber & her husband Andrew and their children Corbin & Zoe, VanNessa Hargis & her husband Bobby & their children Garrett Ellis & Gavin Hargis, Monica Jackson & husband Paul & their children Conner & a baby on the way, Ethan Foote, & Hunter Foote as well as her sister, Barbara Marlowe & several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She helped her husband & son on the family farm & cared for Max when he became ill for 10 years. She had a strong worth ethic and soft heart. She will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew her. She had attended Blackhawk Community Church and was a member of Shady Grove Church, as well as being a member of the Blackhawk Lions Club and Pierson Township Home Economics Club. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Marvin Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 2:00 -6:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Vista Care Hospice, in her memory.
