George William ‘Bill’ Brush, III 73, of Terre Haute passed away January 16 2013 at 3:18 p.m. at Union Hospital with his family by his side. He was born January 23, 1939 in New Castle, IN to George W. Brush, II and Anna Harris Brush. He was raised in Terre Haute by his mother Anna Lingafelter and his father who raised him, Montie Lingafelter. On April 11, 1973 he married Maria Certain; this year they would have celebrated their 40th year of marriage. He retired as an estimator at S & G Excavating after 35 years. He also had served his country with the US Army in the 504th MP Battallion.
He is survived by his wife, his son Montie Brush and his wife Jill; daughter Melody Givens and her husband Scott; grandsons Aaron Brush and A. J. Brush of Indianapolis, Brandon Brush and his fiancée Jane Thornberry of Terre Haute, and granddaughter Alisha Drake of Indianapolis. He has one cousin Tom Harris and wife of Terre Haute, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and special
friends. He was a member of the Rosedale American Legion Post #290 and the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church South Campus.
He loved the Lord with all his heart. He is in heaven with his grandson Klye Drake and a special lady, Helen Frost who took him to church every Sunday when he was a small boy. Helen was like a mother to him.
Memorial services will be Sunday, January20, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church south campus with Revs. Aaron Wheaton and Rick Swan officiating.
