Emma Josephine Bearley, 76, of Terre Haute passed away on January 3, 2013 at 5:17 p.m. in Regional Hospital. She was born on October 24, 1936 to John and Thelma (Harrs) Bearley. Emma was a member of Southside Church of Nazarene since 1984. She retired from Thompsons Restaurant as a cook.
Emma is survived by her nephews Gordon Bearley, Charles Willis, and David Bearley; niece Vickie Bearley; brothers Charles Bearley and John Bearley; and sister Mary Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Donald Bearley, Richard Bearley, Gene Bearley, and James Bearley; and sisters Alice Willis and Mable Camp.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday January 8, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Southside Church of Nazarene, 1901 S 4th Street. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until services at noon. Pastor Kim I. Suits will be officiating. Cremation will take place after services, and burial of cremains will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery at a later date. DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive, assisted the family with making arrangements. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
