BRAZIL [mdash] Mary Lou Anthrop, 70, of Brazil, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. She was born in Crawford County, Illinois, to Bernard and Clara Mette. Mary Lou graduated from Robinson High School, and was a homemaker. On June 3, 1972, she married Robert Anthrop, and he survives. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Loretta Inboden; brother, Bernard Mette; and son, John Anthrop. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Rachel; sisters, Joanne Daugherty, Eileen Smithenry, Jane Howard, Judy Watson and Carol Watts; and brothers, Larry Mette and David Mette. She was a member of the Northview Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved talking to others about the Bible, growing flowers, talking with and baking for neighbors, and finding the next great bargain at a yard sale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Worldwide Work at JW.org. In honoring her wishes, no services are planned and cremation has been chosen. Care and arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral and Cremation Services, 6202 Michigan Road, Indianapolis.
