MARSHALL, Ill. [mdash] Paul Remlinger, 86, of Marshall, Ill., passed away Monday, March 13, 2017, at his home. He had formerly worked at Kenny Little DX station for many years and later worked for the city of Marshall until his retirement. Paul was born Feb. 13, 1931, at Marshall, Ill., the son of Dewey and Romona Bailey Remlinger. He married Velma Reynolds at Pocahontas, Ark., in 1950, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2012. Surviving are a daughter, Glenna (Jack) Clark of Marshall; a son, Paul David (Karen) Remlinger of Liberty, Texas; two granddaughters, Tina (Joe) Clark and Tiffany (companion Charlie English) Bristow; two great-grandchildren, Katie Clark and Jenna Clark; a brother, John (Vicki) Remlinger; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded n death by three brothers, Cliff, Bill and James; and a sister, Eva Mae Owen. He loved to fish, hunt and go mushroom and ginseng hunting. He was a big sports fan and a true and loyal Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Services in honor of his life will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pearce Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Animal Rescue Fund. Online condolences are being accepted at:
