Sarah Hennessy Gillum took her final breath after a courageous five-year-battle with cancer on Feb. 28, 2017. She changed everyone she knew and part of her will forever live in our hearts. Sarah was born June 29, 1982, in Terre Haute, to John and Nancy (Smith) Hennessy, of Gallatin, Tenn., who survive Sarah. She also is survived by her loving husband, Gary Kent Gillum; and her precious daughter, 5 year old Mia Gillum; two caring sisters and their husbands, Melanie Chumbley (Lamont) and Kelly Hennessy-Pierce (Kyle). Sarah was like a second mother to her nieces and nephews, Bailey Williams, Megan Chumbley, Emma Rose Hennessy-Pierce and Maddox Chumbley, all of Gallatin; in-laws, Brenda and Chris McDonald of Kingston Springs, Tenn., and Gary Kent Gillum of Nashville, Tenn.; as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins that were so caring through her illness. A memorial-reunion will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, 1 to 4 p.m, at First Church of the Nazarene Gym, 801 Fort Harrison Road, Terre Haute. A second Memorial-Open House will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 3 to 8 p.m. at Bagsby Ranch, 1628 Long Hollow Pike, in Gallatin. Thank you to all our friends who have followed "Sarah Strong" these four years for all your love, prayers and comfort. In lieu of flowers donations may be made for Mia's college fund.
