DENNISON, Ill. [mdash] Gary Alan Hojem, 65, of Dennison, Ill., passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, in his home. He retired from Bemis in Terre Haute after many years of service. He was born Jan. 2, 1952, in Terre Haute, to Vernon Hojem and Arlena " Marge" Minnich Hojem. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Diana Barkley Hojem; two daughters and their husbands, Michelle Cassagne and Brice and Christina Hollingsworth and Larry, all of Dennison; his mother, Arlena "Marge" Hojem; and four grandchildren, Chase Hollingsworth, Kilee Hollingsworth, Briley Cassagne, and Bricyn Cassagne. He was preceded in death by his father; and two sisters, Wanda Kay Hojem and Patricia Hojem-Brown. Gary enjoyed going to horse racing tracks and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. EST Wednesday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, West Terre Haute, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating. Visitation will be 6 p.m. EST until service time Wednesday. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
