CLINTON [mdash] James "Jim" Edward Shull, 65, of Clinton, passed away peacefully Feb. 24, 2017, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. Born Aug. 26, 1951, in Clinton, he was the son of Betty and the late Eugene Shull. Jim accepted Christ and was baptized at Methodist Church in Clinton. Jim attended Clinton High School and received a bachelor's degree in education at Indiana State University. He quickly realized his passion for electrical work and opened his own electrical contracting business Shull Electric in 1975. He was a member of IBEW. Jim proudly talked about his work to his children and grandchildren, and he leaves a legacy of lights behind in our area. On July 31, 1976, Jim married his high school sweetheart, Judy Yowell. They raised their son and daughter in Clinton and celebrated their 40th anniversary with their children and their families. He will be remembered as a man who put others before himself and provided for his family. A few of his favorite phrases were: "Boiler up!" "On the road again!" and "I'll be riiiiiight back!" Jim is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Jamie (Daric) Moenter and Jared (Ashley) Shull; mother, Betty Shull; sister, Nancy (Steve) Reed; grandchildren, Grayson, Hadley and Blake Moenter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. EST Tuesday at Frist Funeral Home, in Clinton, with Pastor Larry Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
