Carter James Manley, 9, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away with his loving family by his side on April 6, 2016. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 13, 2006 to Stacey (Gladden) Wrightsman and Tim Manley. Carter had a contagious smile, when he smiled, so did the whole world. He was in the 3rd grade at Deming Elementary, and there he had his very own fan club. Carter loved super heroes and fire trucks. He made many friends with the Terre Haute City Firemen. He won the hearts of anyone who knew him. He was received in Heaven by his grandparents Sharon Gladden and Howard Gladden; uncles Jimmy Gladden and Keith Gladden; and several other loving family members. He is survived by his mother Stacey (Gladden) Wrightsman and step father and best friend Timothy Wrightsman; brother Rowdy Wrightsman; sister Ashlynn Manley; special friend and god mother Danielle Coffey; uncles Scott Gladden (Angie), Barry Gladden (Terri), Paul Gladden (Jennifer), and Mark Gladden (Teresa); aunt Valerie Gladden; great aunt Jody Humble and Mary Jo Crum; and several cousins. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 2:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Pastor Kyle Andrews will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday April 11, 2016 from 3:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses or MDA Foundation.
