Madeline S. Cummins, 76, of Cory, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 3, 2016 surrounded by her family in her residence. The most important thing is her life was her with the Lord, it was very important to her to lead others to the Lord Jesus Christ. Madeline was a member of Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church. She was born December 9, 1939 in Vigo county to Marion Blackburn and Helen Collins Blackburn. In May of 1956 she married John A. Cummins who preceded her in death on January 11, 2013, she was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter Ryanne Marie, two brothers; Harold Blackburn and Marion Blackburn and a sister, Doris Hill. She and John had four children, three daughters and one son. Deanna Staley and her husband Randy, Juliana Souder and her husband Don and Robbyn Clark and her husband Yates. One son, John Brian Cummins who preceded her in death. They have six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren who she was so very proud of and loved dearly. She is also survived by two sisters; Gertrude Nawrocki and Ruth Ferguson. She was an active member of Y-Me Breast Cancer Support group, was very active in her church, enjoyed camping and campfires with her husband, family and friends. She loved flowers, birds and working in her garden and loved babies. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s activities. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN., 47804. Visitation will be held on Monday March 7th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 8th from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Pastor Bob Roush will be officiating; burial will be in Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the Susan G.
