Glenn Joseph “Abe” Osborn, 79, of Terre Haute passed away January 28, 2016. Abe was born March 2, 1936 to John Franklin Osborn and Lora M. Glasgow Osborn. Abe enjoyed many activities including raccoon hunting, visiting flea markets, working on cars in the backyard, and baking cakes in the morning. Abe was very innovative; if he needed something he would build it. Abe loved his family very much, and couldn’t help but to constantly pester his grandkids. He worked for Stran Steel, retiring after 25 years. Abe drove a wrecker for Johns Auto Salvage, he also carried and delivered the Tribune Star newspaper for many years in the Rosedale area. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Fred, John Harrold, and Jimmy, and two sisters; Elizabeth Jenkins and Nancy. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Carolyn, three daughters; Miranda Jean (Tim), Carolyn Jo, and Sasha “Punkin” (Rick), two brothers; Paul Osborn, and Bobby Lake, a sister, Lois Hamer, five grandchildren; Zachary Buza, Mikey Silvers (Alaura), Rusty Miller, Kaitlin Renee Kennedy, and Madison Miller, great grandchildren; Marleigh Jo Buza, Delia Rose Miller, and Rourke Michael Silvers. Family and friends are invited to come celebrate Abe’s life, Friday February 5, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Sancut Fire Department, 5970 E Rio Grande, Terre Haute, 47805.
