Faye L. Arnold, 78, passed away Tuesday January 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Union Hospital surrounded by family. She was born April 27, 1937 in Fairbanks, Indiana. Faye was an angel here on earth, her loving heart and spirit drew people to her. She was a mother not just to her own but to everyone who needed her. She fed every kid in the neighborhood that was hungry; she even fed the stray cats and dogs as well. She loved to sit on the porch and visit with anyone who would pass by, telling them to “come on up.” She was the type of person who never met a stranger. She loved listening to music and singing with her children. She participated in the Home Economics club in Vigo County, and attended several services at the Terre Haute First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, William Arnold Jr. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Arnold Sr., a son Robert E. Arnold Sr. and his wife Chris, daughters; Melissa Faye Scott and her husband Steve, Rosie Hennessy and her husband Bob, Patty Arnold, and Jane Galloway, a daughter in law, Sue Ensey a brother, Eugene Barnes, a sister, Sandy Smith, grandchildren; Tangela, Billy, Bob, Timmy, Ryan, Kristen, Renee, Kenny, Dustin, Jordon, and Leah, great grandchildren; Jadeyn, Tyson, Will, Noah, Olivia, Izzy, Grace, Owen, Liam, MarShaun, Maurice, MaKenzie, Sawyer, Eli, Leia, Domenick, Evie, Summer, Tyler, Caden, Kobe, and Blair, and multiple family members and friends. Services for Faye are scheduled for Friday January 8, 2016 at 12 pm at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN. Visitation is scheduled from 10 am until service time Friday also at the funeral home. Pastor Mark Fleschner will be officiating.
