Alice V. Ripple, 84, of Terre Haute went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday May 26, 2015 at 10:01 am. She had worked at Grandma Joy’s and the Goodie Shoppe before becoming a stay at home mother raising her 5 children. Alice was born November 30, 1930 in Clinton, IN to Marley Merlin Craft and Jessie Irene (Martin) Craft. She is survived by her children, Cherryl A. Nicoson and her husband Kenneth of Terre Haute, Sue Higar and her husband Mike of Terre Haute, Larry Joe Ripple of Terre Haute, Raymond Ripple and his wife Mary Beth of Terre Haute, and Jeff B. Ripple and his wife Kim of Brazil; sisters, Jane Andrews of Cayuga, IN and Beulah Wilkerson of Cayuga, IN; a brother, Marvin Craft of Lodi, IN; grandchildren, Ricky, Carrie, Angel, Stacie, Chrissy, David, Brian, Mike, Katie, Leah, Nicole, Jason, and Ashley, and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde Ripple died May 6, 1985 and her siblings, Evelyn, Leonard, Maxine, and Art. Alice was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter #336 since 1986. She was an avid Cub’s Fan and enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, reading, and cooking. Visitation will be Friday May 29, 2015 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am in St. Mark United Church of Christ, 475 S. Fruitridge with funeral services at 11:00 am in the church with Reverend Rebecca Zelensky officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
