Robert M. Bramble, 84, of Terre Haute, passed away April 30, 2015 in his residence. Bob was born September 21, 1930 in Monroe, Michigan to Arthur Bramble and Anna Kelty Bramble. Bob was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and attended school at St. Ann and was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and attended Indiana State University. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1947 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict. While in the Army he served in Guam and Japan in the armored infantry and as an Aviation Engineer. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 972 where he served over 20 years in the Funeral Detail, serving veterans and their families at the time of their passing, he took great pride helping the families of the deceased veterans. While at Post 972 he worked the bingo nights for fifteen years. He also made a lot of mashed potatoes and noodles. He was a member of American Legion Post #104 and an Associate Member of the Marine Corp League and well as a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Disabled Veterans. Bob enjoyed a lifetime love of gardening and a great love of life. Bob was preceded in death by brothers; Joe, Bill and Jack Bramble and two sisters; Rita Kendall and Florence “Sissy” Williams. Bob is survived by his wife, Suzanna Wassill Bramble whom he married February 4, 1956. He is also survived by two daughters; Karen Bramble of Alturus, Florida and Teresa Allman and her husband Rick of Markle, Indiana. One granddaughter Tristan Allman survives as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Historic Chapel at Highland Lawn Cemetery with Father Martin Day officiating. Military Graveside services will be conducted by Veterans of War Post #972. The family would like to thank Hux Cancer Center and VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley for their care and compassion.
