Ida Belle Vaughn, 95 of Terre Haute, passed away at 7:45 PM on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus. She was born in Sullivan County on February 12, 1920 to Seth Hunt and Medith Thornberry Hunt. Ida was a home maker and member of the Prairie Creek Home Economics Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Edward Vaughn in 1986 and they leave behind six generations of survivors. Those survivors include four sons; Ted Vaughn (wife Loretta), David Vaughn (wife Marian), Dan Vaughn (wife Deborah J.), and Bruce A. Vaughn (wife Debbie Sue), as well as three daughters; Sharon Harmon (husband Dennis), Nancy Bennett (husband Donald), and Brenda Oliveira (husband Bob). Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, and 3 great great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, 1 great grandchild, and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Steve Marlow officiating. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in DeBaun Springhill Chapel.
