Gwendoline Furnas, 89, of Terre Haute, passed away April 6, 2015 at 12:45 a.m. in Union Hospital. She was born March 30, 1926 in Clinton, Indiana to Leonard Lapworth and Maria Lapworth. Gwendoline was a member of North Terre Haute Christian Church. She was known for being an amazing cook. Gwendoline was proceeded in death by her first husband Neal Reese in 1989; her second husband Ernie Furnas; her parents; and siblings Leonard Lapworth and Florence Vietti. She is survived by her daughters Vicki Cook, her husband Jim and Sandy Jeffery; grandchildren Troy Jeffery, Travis Jeffery, his wife Hillary, Kristin Cook, Megan Stewart, and her husband Bob; great grandsons Nick, Nate, Neal, and Nolan Jeffery; and stepsons Larry Furnas and Eddie Furnas. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 10, 2015 in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804 at 1:00p.m. Rev. Steve Moore will be officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00a.m. until service time.
