Frank Walker

Frank G. Walker, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 4, 2015. He was born to Louis and Florence Sanders Walker of Marshall, Illinois on May 13, 1926. He leaves behind a grieving family including his loving wife of 62 years, Ginnie Clark Walker; his precious daughter, Brett Snyder and her husband, Kevin of Crystal River, Florida; four wonderful grandchildren, Nick Krieble of Atlanta, Georgia, Jordan Krieble of Indianapolis, Haley Krieble and Gabby Krieble, both of Zionsville. In addition, he leaves behind two very dear, long- time friends, Irene Stringer of Terre Haute and Dr. Barry Krieble of Tuscon, Arizona, as well as three special dog buddies. Frank owned and operated Dairy Queen’s in Terre Haute for the past 60 years. He also served two terms as Vigo County Auditor in the 1970’s. Frank served in the United States Army in World War II, spending time in both Korea and Japan. Upon returning, he attended Rose Polytechnic Institute, currently known as Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. Throughout his life, his Dairy Queen customers were always considered as friends, allowing him to be blessed with many people who will all miss his usual presence at his stores. In honor of Frank’s wishes, cremation has been chosen with no services. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana was entrusted with arrangements.
