Laura Ann Walls, 63, of Terre Haute passed away December 18, 2014 in Union Hospital surrounded by close family members. She was born on February 18, 1951 in Arkansas to Thurlo Leon Dickerson and Annie (George) Dickerson Grayless, they have preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her husband Ron Walls, brother Howard Dickerson, stepfather Harold Grayless, and lifelong best friends Dick and Rita Barton. Survivors include her daughter Wendy Sanders and her husband Mike; a son Joshua Walls and his companion Nakoa Baker; grandchildren Zachary Allen Sanders, Seth Michael Sanders, Aaliyah Nicole “Pumphandle” Walls, and Lyric Joshua Walls. Her surviving siblings include Juanita Killen, Henry Dickerson, Carl Dickerson, Rick Dickerson, Bonnie Davis, Lonnie Dickerson, Nancy Dickerson, Gregory Allen, Sammie Joe, Brenda Kessinger, and Harold Grayless Jr. She also has several nieces and nephews. Laura loved to mushroom hunt and cook, and attended Maryland Community Church. She worked at Maurizio’s Pizzeria and later retired from Wal-Mart deli. Funeral services are scheduled for 7:00 pm Friday December 26, 2014 at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr. with Dr. Vince McFarland officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until service time. Cremation will follow and burial will take place at a later date. The family asks that donations be made along with flowers.
